UPSC works to foster international networking and has collaborative links with outstanding research environments in Belgium, Denmark, France, Germany, Spain, the U.S.A., Canada, Japan and now also China. The nature of our partnerships varies according to the need.

UPSC has recently signed a statement of cooperation with Beijing Forestry University (BFU) to encourage cooperation in the areas of research, education and capacity building. Both parties will exchange students and promote research cooperation or short-term visits of researchers. In addition, UPSC will welcome students and researchers in the frame of the China Scholarship Program.

In 2017, UPSC has together with SweTree Technologies entered into partnership with the VIB Center for Plant Systems Biology. This joint research collaboration aims to identify new genes for growth increase in trees and is envisioned to strengthen all involved parties. Read more about the partnership here.

We have also a strong trilateral partnership, called INUPRAG, with the National Research Institute for Agriculture, Food and Environment (INRAE) in France (BAP and ECODIV divisions) and the Center for Research in Agricultural Genomics (CRAG) in Barcelona, Spain. This partnership provides training for young scientists and supports common research projects between UPSC, CRAG and eight leading plant biology and ecology laboratories in France. UPSC also has a formal agreement for research cooperation with the RIKEN Plant Science Center (RIKEN-PSC) in Yokahama, Japan.

Our goal is to expand our collaborations to other regions of the world, to support and establish research and innovation opportunities with top plant research institutions in Asia, South America and Africa.
