UPSC is involved in two Master’s programmes: Master’s Programme in Plant Biology for Sustainable Production with specialization on Forest Biotechnology at the Swedish University of Agricultural Sciences (SLU) and Master's Programme in Plant and Forest Biotechnology at Umeå University.
Plants are of great importance, not only as food and animal feed but they also provide building materials, fibres and pharmaceutical drugs. Knowledge about how plants work, their genetics and interaction with the environment is essential for durable plant production and sustainable development. At UPSC we are involved in teaching two MSc programs, one from Umeå University and one from the Swedish University of Agricultural Sciences. These Master’s programs give specialized competence and skills to recognize, understand and find solutions for sustainable production in agriculture and forestry.
